Ora Lee
Born in Clifty, Arkansas, Ora Lee is one of twelve children who
grew up in an artistic family that nurtured her artistic abilities.
During her childhood years, her family moved to Skiatook, Oklahoma where
she met and was courted by a young man named Mel. Sometime later Mel
proposed to Ora Lee and for more than 50 years she has been married to her
best friend.  Ora Lee is the mother of five, grandmother of twelve
and a great-grandmother of four.
Ora Lee’s love for Stained Glass Artistry was realized when she and Mel
and their family moved to Arlington, Texas.  After her husband’s retirement
they moved to Gilmer, Texas. Ora Lee is well known for her Stained Glass portraits of Jesus
one such panel , approximately 6 foot by 4 foot is located at the
at the First Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas. Ora Lee’s stained glass

On a personal note: Ora Lee wants to thank each and everyone who
